Bolton Front Man In From Start As NI Chase Goals!!!
Josh Magennis will be charged with delivering some much needed away goals for Northern Ireland this evening in Vienna, as Michael O’Neill’s charges go into their second UEFA Nations League game away to Austria.
The Bolton Wanderers striker, who has notched three goals in twelve Championship games this season gets the nod ahead of Will Grigg, Liam Boyce and new boy Kyle Vassell as the side deal with the omission of another Kyle; the conspicuous in his absence Mr. Lafferty. He will be looking to end a drought of four consecutive blanks on the road for the side.
Bailey Peacock-Farrell again starts in goal, with a familiar back four of Jonny Evans and Craig Cathcart at centre-half flanked by Paddy McNair and Jemal Lewis.
In midfield, O’Neill has gone with the now embedded central three of captain Steve Davis, Ollie Norwood and George Saville with support from wide to Magennis, coming from Stuart Dallas, and the returning Shane Ferguson. The Millwall winger hasn’t started a game in the green since May’s draw away to Panama.
The Austrain line will be led by West Ham star Marko Arnautovic as he looks to continue his excellent start to the season.
