Youngsters Named in Michael O’Neill’s Starting XI!!!
Leeds United prodigy Bailey Peacock-Farrell will start in goal this afternoon for Northern Ireland against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The 21 year-old, who has been a key part of Marcello Bielsa’s table topping Championship side, earlier declared allegiance to Northern Ireland, despite being contacted by Gareth Southgate. Peacock-Farrell, born in Darlington, qualifies to play for the North through Enniskillen born grandparents.
Also making his competitive debut is Jamal Lewis. The young Norwich City full-back has previously turned out in the pre-World Cup friendly with South Korea at Windsor Park in March and seems another player O’Neill is keen on moulding a new generation around.
Kyle Lafferty will spearhead an attack, with Niall McGinn and Stuart Dallas working the channels.
